Welcome to East Coast Textiles. I'm Michelle, a designer living over on the beautiful Norfolk coast with my husband and twin sons. The coast, beach and sea have always held a special place for us as a family – we love the rugged British coastline rather than luxury tropical beachy paradises (most of the time)!

The waves and the sea have always brought us a sense of peacefulness, like many of you we’ve had a fair few of life’s traumas thrown our way over the years, and every time we face a crisis we’re drawn the the beach and the calming sea to walk, breathe the salty air and find some composure.

The serenity and simplicity of the natural coastal world at the beach – in all seasons – is a way of bringing calm and joy to us as a family. Everyone has that special place which means so much to them – a location, landmark or somewhere to cheer on your team.

Having spent time living in London I understand that places can stay in your heart for a long time after you leave, creating nostalgia, memories and the yearning for times go by.

Having previously worked in the design and marketing industry, I needed a creative outlet whilst juggling parenthood so decided to take this notion of cherished places that evoke those feelings of joy and happiness, to create wearable illustrations for garments and accessories.

With a range of products from t-shirts and hoodies to bags and hats featuring collections such as football stadiums and landmarks.
